Of course, you can't go out at night without a few extra tips for visiting Venice's old town. In fact, you need to take certain precautions for your excursion.

Don't expect to be out too late

Venice is not a nightlife city as we know it. So you can cross late-night bars and clubs off your list of potential things to do in Venice at night. If you're looking for traditional nightlife, you're likely to find better luck in Mestreon the continent.

Bars and restaurants will generally close at 11 p.m., or in some cases as early as 10 p.m., so don't expect to stay out all night!

Remember to make dinner reservations in advance

Finding a place to eat in Venice often means doing your research in advance. Indeed, the most popular restaurants serving the city's best dishes are are usually crowded. You'll need to make sure you book your meal in advance.

Keep your phone's GPS within easy reach

Venice's narrow, winding streets and magnificent canals can make navigating the city a little tricky, even in broad daylight. To avoid getting lost, I advise you to keep your GPS application available. This will help you find your way around and get to your hotel easily.
