It reopened in December 2003, truly earning its name of \"Phoenix\" as it continually rises from the ashes.<\/p>\n<p>I'd advise you to visit early in the morning. That way, you'll avoid the crowds of tourists jostling to contemplate the theater's sublime interiors. The site is open to visitors on a daily basis. Your admission ticket <strong>includes audio tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You'll pay \u20ac11 per person to enjoy the beauty of the place. Visible from <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/ponte-dell-accademia\/\">Ponte dell'Accademia<\/a>This baroque cathedral is one of the main landmarks surrounding the canal.<\/p>\n<p>Once you're inside the building, I recommend you go to the top of the dome. From here, you'll enjoy one of the best views in Venice.<\/p>\n<p>If you'd like to visit the Basilica, admission is free. However, you will need <strong>pay \u20ac 8<\/strong> to visit the dome.<\/p>\n<p>During the summer months, the Basilica opens :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc133101164\"><\/a><strong>Venice in 1 day: the Ponte dell'Accademia<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From the Ponte dell'Accademia, you have one of the best views of the Grand Canal. In fact, it's <strong>one of my favorite places in Venice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Look east and you'll see the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute. This bridge is also an ideal place to watch the gondolas, the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/bus-venice\/\">water buses<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/cab-venice\/\">cabs<\/a> up and down the Grand Canal.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc133101165\"><\/a><strong>Take a ride on the vaporetto<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/vaporetto-venice\/\">vaporetto<\/a> is a waterbus that runs up and down the Grand Canal, covering a large part of Venice. It's the cheapest way to cruise the Grand Canal.<\/p>\n<p>From the vaporetto station next to Ponte dell'Accademia, take vaporetto no. 1 or no. 2 to the Rialto Bridge. The cost is <strong>7.50 for a one-way ticket or \u20ac21 for a 24-hour ticket<\/strong>. For this itinerary, a one-way ticket is sufficient.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc133101166\"><\/a><strong>Venice in 1 day: the Rialto Bridge<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/rialto-bridge\/\">Rialto bridge<\/a> is a covered walkway filled with stores at its center. In addition to the magnificent view, you can enjoy the small stalls that are placed all along the bridge. A wonderful place to <strong>you can't miss when you come to Venice<\/strong>even for a day.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc133101167\"><\/a><strong>Explore the canals of Venice<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Take a one- or two-hour stroll along the canals of Venice. From the Rialto Bridge, head east, walking from the sestiere de <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/place-saint-marc\/\">San Marco<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/castello-venice-district\/\">Castello<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can also rent a gondola. Gondolas ply many of Venice's canals, which can easily become part of your afternoon. Gondola rides can last from 15 minutes to an hour, <strong>depending on what you negotiate with the gondolier.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>How much does a gondola ride cost? <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The City of Venice sets the rate at <strong>80 \u20ac per 40 minutes<\/strong> (\u20ac100 after 7 p.m.), but that doesn't mean that's the rate you'll get. You'll need to negotiate with your gondolier before boarding.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you agree on the price and duration of your trip before you settle in. Le Campanile is accessible <strong>9.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m.<\/strong> and the last entry is at 4:45 pm.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc133101169\"><\/a><strong>Doge's Palace<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/doges-palace\/\">Doge's Palace<\/a> is a palace built in the Venetian Gothic style. For centuries, the building served as the Doge's residence, the seat of government and the palace of justice. It is now a museum open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that 5 p.m. is the last time you are allowed to enter the Doge's Palace. Make sure you <strong>get there first!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc133101170\"><\/a><strong>Visit Saint Mark's Basilica by night<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This tour takes place after the basilica closes. With a guide, you can visit the basilica without the crowds. You'll see the Pala d'Oro, a magnificent Byzantine altarpiece. Be sure to book your tickets in advance, as this attraction is very popular with visitors.<strong> popular with tourists from all over the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/guided-tour-venice\/\">Visiting Venice<\/a> in 1 day is not an impossible mission.
