Although it has burned down several times, its magnificent interior is well worth a visit, <strong>whether you're there for a show or not.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you're looking for a great place to discover the Italian theatre scene, you can't go wrong by adding an opera to your list. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/la-fenice-venice\/\">Teatro La Fenice<\/a> to your list of things to do in Venice at night.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc134883500\"><\/a><strong>Take an evening gondola ride.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Take a ride <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/venice-gondola\/\">gondola<\/a> at night is a little more expensive than during the day (<strong>100 euros versus 80 euros per gondola<\/strong>), but it's also an absolutely fantastic experience that deserves to be on your list of things to do in the city.<\/p>\n<p>After sunset, the canals become a little quieter. The city empties and the experience offers you <strong>a tranquility that may be absent during the day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc134883501\"><\/a><strong>Venice by night: enjoy cicchetti as an aperitif.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Cicchetti are the Venetian version of Spanish tapas, small bites of food usually served on a slice of bread and often placed on a toothpick. These little delicacies <strong>are served in the city's bars.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Delicious and inexpensive, they're the perfect complement to your aperitif in Venice, and if you order enough, they can even be a real dinner!<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc134883502\"><\/a><strong>Take a stroll around Venice's most emblematic sites<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It may seem a little obvious, but it really is, at 100 %, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful things to do in Venice at night.<\/p>\n<p>Take a walk on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/rialto-bridge\/\">Rialto bridge<\/a> emptied of its crowds. Cross Piazza San Marco and admire its sheer size.<\/p>\n<p>Stroll down the Riva degli Schiavoni and enjoy the peaceful view of the city from one side, while you can enjoy the view from the other. <strong>hear the gentle sounds of the lagoon water from the other.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc134883503\"><\/a><strong>Venice by night: visit the Acqua Alta library<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Venice's most popular bookshop is worth a visit at any time of day, of course, but Libreria Acqua Alta has an extra special quality at night, <strong>especially on its back porches overlooking the canal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here, you'll find yourself in a truly idyllic setting. From the back of the Acqua Alta boutique, you can discover a simpler, calmer and more beautiful Venice.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc134883504\"><\/a><strong>Discover the Venice Jazz Club.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Want to get off the beaten track in Venice and enjoy a special musical atmosphere at the same time?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Venice Jazz Club in Dorsoduro<\/strong> will take you away from the more touristy areas of San Marco and San Polo, while giving you the chance to have a good time in a comfortable venue at the same time. A must for jazz fans.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc134883505\"><\/a><strong>Tips for exploring Venice by night<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Of course, you can't go out at night without a few extra tips for visiting Venice's old town. In fact, you need to take certain precautions for your excursion.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Don't expect to be out too late<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Venice is not a nightlife city as we know it. So you can cross late-night bars and clubs off your list of potential things to do in Venice at night. If you're looking for traditional nightlife, you're likely to find <strong>better luck in Mestre<\/strong>on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>Bars and restaurants will generally close at 11 p.m., or in some cases as early as 10 p.m., so don't expect to stay out all night!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Remember to make dinner reservations in advance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Finding a place to eat in Venice often means doing your research in advance. Indeed, the most popular restaurants serving the city's best dishes are <strong>are usually crowded<\/strong>. You'll need to make sure you book your meal in advance.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Keep your phone's GPS within easy reach <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Venice's narrow, winding streets and magnificent canals can make navigating the city a little tricky, even in broad daylight. To avoid getting lost, I advise you to <strong>keep your GPS application available<\/strong>. This will help you find your way around and get to your hotel easily.<\/p>\n<p>Venice by night is an experience you should have at least once in your life.
