The Pinacoteca Manfrediniana became the new home of the museum. <strong>the new Diocesan Museum of the Patriarchate of Venice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Pinacoteca Manfrediniana is located inside the Patriarchal Seminary of Venice, next to the Basilica of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/santa-maria-della-salute\/\">Santa Maria della Salute<\/a> and just a few steps from the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/gallerie-dell-accademia-venice\/\">Gallerie dell'Accademia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Pinacoteca owes its name to Marquis Federico Manfredini who, on his death, ordered that most of the works of art in his personal collection be donated to the Patriarchal Seminary,<strong> provided they are fully displayed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Manfredini collection comprises 65 paintings on canvas, wood and copper. These are mostly works from the Venetian and Central Italian pictorial school, but there are also paintings from Northern Europe and the United States. <strong>copies of famous works now housed in the Hermitage or the Louvre.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The museum also exhibits works from other donations: paintings and sculptures from the 13th to the 19th century and beyond.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc138581058\"><\/a><strong>Exceptional exhibitions at the Museo diocesano<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In recent years, the Diocesan Museum has also hosted various non-sacred exhibitions in the Sant'Apollonia complex. These include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dal\u00ec Universe<\/strong> An exhibition devoted entirely to Salvador Dal\u00ec<\/li>\n<li><strong>Viva Vivaldi, the Mystery of the Four Seasons<\/strong> a multi-media, multi-sensory exhibition-show dedicated to the famous Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc138581059\"><\/a><strong>What are the opening hours of the Museo diocesano?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To visit the museum, you can go to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday and Friday from<strong> 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Saturday <strong>10 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that the last admissions are at 5:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>The museum remains <strong>closed on Sundays and Wednesdays.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc138581060\"><\/a><strong>How much does admission cost?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To visit this collection, you need to buy a ticket at the ticket office.
