The route winds along <strong>the Brenta Riviera<\/strong>with its splendid Venetian villas.<\/p>\n<p>It passes through the towns of Fiesso d'Artico, Dolo and Mira. Athletes pass through the center of Marghera and Mestre, enter the San Giuliano park and then reach Venice via the Ponte della Libert\u00e0.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A race along the canals<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>From here, the best section begins: runners follow the canal de la <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/giudecca\/\">Giudecca<\/a> until they reach <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/sea-customs-venice\/\">Punta della Dogana<\/a>A temporary bridge built for the purpose takes them to Piazza San Marco.<\/p>\n<p>The finish line is at Riva Sette Martiri, <strong>directly overlooking the bay of the Venetian lagoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc138715600\"><\/a><strong>The alternative course for the Venice Marathon: a 10 km route<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Since 2015, the Venice Marathon offers a 10km route has also taken place. The event takes place in various locations in the province of Venice.
