The maximum height is 2.10 meters, and no reservation is necessary. <strong>given the enormous capacity of the parking lot<\/strong>. This is the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/parking-venice\/\">cheapest parking in Venice<\/a>. From here, you can reach Piazzale Roma comfortably with the People Mover or on foot for about 1 km.<\/p>\n<p>To reach Tronchetto by car, <strong>take the Ponte della Libert\u00e0<\/strong>At the end of the bridge, keep right until you reach the first set of traffic lights. Turn right until you cross another bridge on the right.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc140183980\"><\/a><strong>How do I get to Piazzale Roma from Tronchetto Island?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To get to Piazzale Roma Venice from Tronchetto, the People Mover rail shuttle is available. It links the Tronchetto island to Piazzale Roma.<\/p>\n<p>The service is offered by ACTV <strong>at a price of \u20ac1.50<\/strong>. Journey frequency is every 7 minutes.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc140183981\"><\/a><strong>How do I get to Tronchetto Island from Venice?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The vaporetto also goes to Piazzale Roma from Tronchetto and then continues along the Grand Canal or Giudecca Canal to San Marco. There is a direct daytime line and a direct night-time line.<\/p>\n<p>The daytime line offers <strong>every 12 minutes from 6 a.m. From 1 pm to 6 pm<\/strong>Every 20 minutes until 7:55 pm. Then the shuttles leave <strong>every 30 minutes until 10:56 p.m.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 5.35 am and 5.55 am trips take you from Piazzale Roma to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/rialto-bridge\/\">Rialto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the other direction, you'll enjoy journeys from San Marco to Tronchetto. <strong>every 20 minutes from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.<\/strong>. Then every 30 minutes until 1am. Finally, night vaporettos are available. <strong>every 60 minutes from 1.30 a.m. to 4.30 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc140183982\"><\/a><strong>Take the ACTV ferry<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From Tronchetto there's a ferry link to Venice's Lido with line 17.<\/p>\n<p>You'll find a starting point <strong>every 50 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc140183983\"><\/a><strong>The history of Tronchetto in Venice<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The project to build the artificial island of Tronchetto bears the signature of engineer Eugenio Miozzi, the same man who designed the Ponte degli Scalzi in front of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/venice-station\/\">Santa Lucia station<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/ponte-dell-accademia\/\">Accademia Bridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The island of Tronchetto was then built from 1958 onwards by dumping landfill material in a previously dyked lagoon area.<\/p>\n<p>In the early days, the island was frequented by fish merchants who came at night to the Tronchetto fish market. <strong>to get the best fish from the lagoon's fishermen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Later, the large parking lot and terminal for cruise ships arriving in Venice were built.
