Enough to bring home a few trinkets for your friends and family!<\/p>\n<p>One of the most important is on <strong>Campo Santo Stefano<\/strong>in the San Marco district. Consult this <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/map-of-venice\/\">map of Venice<\/a> to help you find your way around!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Gondola rides at Christmas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/venice-gondola\/\">Venice gondolas<\/a> remain one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/venice-activities\/\">most popular activities<\/a> - and the coolest - all year round, it's fun to take a gondola ride around Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>You'll enjoy a <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/grand-canal-venice\/\">Grand Canal<\/a> less crowded than usual, you'll catch a glimpse of some of the illuminations on the riverbanks and you'll <strong>feel privileged<\/strong>and sail on the water in this romantic setting.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Enjoy the Campo San Polo skating rink \u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>San Polo<\/strong> is the central district of Venice, with the Campo San Polo at its heart. Every year, <strong>a large skating rink<\/strong> is installed on the square (until mid\/late January)! You can rent your skates on site to enjoy it.<\/p>\n<p>Big kids and those traveling with their offspring will have a great time! Everyone seems to be delighted <strong>the surrounding d\u00e9cor<\/strong>the true spirit of Christmas!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Music all over town<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Unlike some cities that deck themselves out in tinsel, lights and Christmas decorations, Venice is fairly restrained in this respect. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/rialto-bridge\/\">The Rialto Bridge<\/a> and some major squares are well decorated. It's a moment of communion for Catholics, and it's packed. If you'd like to have a seat in the building, you'll need to come (very) early!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Spend Christmas in Murano!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You may know that <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/murano\/\">Murano<\/a> is a small town famous the world over for its glassmaking. It's cold, damp and a bit windy during your stay. This is not insurmountable if you are <strong>well-dressed<\/strong>\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>What's more, you could be lucky enough to spend Christmas in Venice! <strong>under the snow<\/strong>. When it turns white and flakes cover the roofs of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/monuments-venice\/\">its monuments<\/a> and its squares, Venice looks more beautiful than ever!<\/p>\n<p>That's one of the reasons why I also love to travel around the world. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/venice-in-january\/\">Venice in January\u00a0<\/a>!<br \/>\n<a name=\"3\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Tips and tricks to enjoy Christmas in Venice<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Let's take a look <strong>the special features of Christmas in Venice<\/strong>and what you need to plan for the best possible stay!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Christmas schedule changes?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you're coming to Venice, it's certainly to visit the city's major places of interest. Please note that timetables are subject to change when <strong>public holidays<\/strong> or <strong>holidays<\/strong>. For example, on December 24, the doors of museums and certain monuments close early.<\/p>\n<p>Most tourist buildings close <strong>December 25<\/strong> (and the 1<sup>er<\/sup> January). But rest assured, you'll find a few restaurants and caf\u00e9s open on these dates.<\/p>\n<p>Transport services remain regular and you can take the following routes <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/vaporetto-venice\/\">the vaporetti<\/a> and others <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/boats-venice\/\">Venice boats<\/a> with no worries at Christmas time.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Make a reservation!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Even if the city is much less crowded than during the summer months, Venice is still a great place to visit. <strong>popular Christmas destination.<\/strong> I therefore recommend that you book your accommodation and, above all <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/restaurant-venice\/\">a good restaurant<\/a>if you're planning to eat out on New Year's Eve!<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at the menus and you'll see that many establishments offer special Christmas meals featuring excellent local specialities. Those who want to extend their stay until December 31st can enjoy the special atmosphere of <strong>St. Mark's Square<\/strong> that evening.<\/p>\n<p>There's music and fireworks to liven things up.
