You can <strong>signal to the captain<\/strong> to stop or <strong>reserve it<\/strong>as I explain in detail.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Booking and ordering a cab<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To make sure you get a cab when you need it, you can book it via the official Venice cab platform: the <strong><em>Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia.<\/em><\/strong> <em>She is <\/em>can be reached by phone on +39 041 522 2303<\/p>\n<p>Via the same number, you can call a cab if you want to get back to your hotel\/accommodation when it's late. The operators speak several languages, so you shouldn't have any trouble communicating!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Hailing a cab in Venice<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Technically, it's possible to wave to a cab captain. He will then park along the quay if it's free. In reality, however, and despite the hundreds of cabs that ply the Venetian waterways every day, it's very difficult to get into a taxi. <strong>difficult to get one of these<\/strong>\u00a0! This will help you avoid the all-too-common scam of visitors being billed for far too expensive errands.<\/p>\n<p>For those travelling in groups, with family or friends, the cab remains an interesting and practical means of transport, because <strong>shared costs<\/strong> make it affordable.<\/p>\n<p>Alone or as a couple, it's best to opt for one of the alternative solutions I present below.<br \/>\n<a name=\"6\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What are the alternatives to Taxi?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If a Venice cab is too expensive for you, rest assured: there are <strong>several alternatives<\/strong> just as practical for getting around the city during your stay!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/vaporetto-venice\/\">Vaporetto<\/a>which is still the most popular means of transport <strong>the most common<\/strong>. Please note that it is possible to purchase a <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/vaporetto-pass-venice\/\">Vaporetto Pass<\/a> very practical, for unlimited use of these boats and many other advantages. For me, it's the best solution!<\/li>\n<li>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourvenise.fr\/en\/venice-gondola\/\">gondolas<\/a>, <strong>a must-see activity in Venice<\/strong> for the more romantic, which allow you to discover the city in the company of a gondolier who will tell you anecdotes and even sing a song for you!<\/li>\n<li>Visit <strong>Traghetto<\/strong>which is a large boat designed for crossing canals.
