There's nothing more dreamlike than arriving in Venice on the gentle waves of the lagoon. Thanks to motoscafi Alilaguna at Venice's Marco Polo International Airport, you can achieve this dream for a modest sum.
Depending on the season and timetable, there are always 2 or 3 lines in service to take you around the floating city.

If you don't know which line to take during your stay in Venice, I suggest you visit the Alilaguna ticket office. There you'll be able to indicate the location of your hotel on a map and let the ticket agent show you which boat to take. Simple, isn't it?
Alilaguna: affordable rates
For an adult, a one-way ticket costs between 8 and 15 eurosdepending on distance. Of course, there are discounts available if you decide to take a round trip. You can also opt for tickets valid for 24 or 72 hours.
I'd advise you to buy your ticket in advance, if you know where you're going. If you buy your ticket on board, you'll have to spend an extra 1 euro. On the other hand, there are discounts if you buy your tickets online. So you can save a few euros.
The fare includes one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage. Additional bags cost 3 euros each.

How to buy your tickets ?
Once there, follow the signs to the airport boats and water cabs, then make your way to the landing stages.
Most routes run at hourly intervals, but you can kill time at the café near the pier if you have a long wait for the next boat.
Normally, you buy your tickets at the stand near the pier. However, you can also go to the ticket counter to buy your Alilaguna tickets.
If the box office is closed or if there is a queue, use the ticket machines on site.
The Alilaguna is a great way to get to Venice by boat. Offering different itineraries, you're sure to arrive within walking distance of your hotel. Perfect if you've had a long journey and you don't want to lug your luggage all over town.
