Where to eat in Venice: stop by Trattoria alla Rampa
If you want to eat like a real local in Venice, I suggest you go to Via Garibaldi, in the neighbourhood of Castello in Venice. Trattoria alla Rampa is a real favorite with the Venetians.
For an even more typical experience, I recommend you go between 12 and 12:45 pm. You'll have the chance to sample the popular and ever-changing "workers' menu".
The most traditional dishes include :
- Cuttlefish ink pasta
- Risi e bisi
- Tiramisu
This picturesque establishment opens early and closes at 3 pm. In addition, it remains closed on Sundays.
Restaurant da "a Marisa
North of the Cannaregio district is Ristorante da "a Marisa, a menu-free restaurant serving a variety of dishes daily.
This type of restaurant offers an opportunity to sample typical Venetian cuisine. And more, he only uses fresh, seasonal ingredients.
You won't know what you're eating until the dish is served. It could be meat or fish.
Open daily for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday.
Where to eat in Venice: Osteria da Alberto
Another classic Cannaregio spot is Osteria da Alberto, between Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Campo San Giovanni e Paolo.
It's a typical place to eat, open since 1920. The restaurant's lively, welcoming environment, ambience and home cooking have made this Osteria a must for locals and tourists alike.
Here, they serve Venetian specialties such as spaghetti with squid ink, made from fresh local ingredients. A must on your trip to Venice.
La Rosticceria Gislon
Rosticceria Gislon is located behind the Rialto Bridge and extends over two levels. On the first floor, you can eat on stools by the window, while table service is available upstairs.
However, Rosticceria is well known to the locals for its delicious street food.
It's not very expensive, which is perhaps why it's so popular with locals and tourists alike.
The restaurant opens :
- All day long until 9:30 pm
Where to eat in Venice: Ivo's restaurant
There is a restaurant on Calle dei Fuseri near the Piazza San Marco called Ristorante da Ivo, open for lunch and dinner.
It specializes in Venetian and Tuscan cuisine. The establishment serves classic dishes such as :
- Spaghetti with clams
- Seafood risotto
- Cuttlefish cooked in an ink sauce
As well as good food, you can meet many famous people in this restaurant. George Clooney even spent the night here before his wedding. It's an excellent choice for a romantic dinner with someone special.
Of course, there are plenty of other places to eat in Venice. Nevertheless, I suggest you listen to the 14 years of experience of the Bonjour Evasion group and to give one of its five establishments a chance.
