The Hilton in Venice: article summary
Location and history of the Venice Hilton
The Hilton Stucky is located on the north side of the island of Giudecca. It's important to remember that this is not on the main group of Venetian islands. You can't walk here from the Piazza San Marco or Venice train station.
This building has a fascinating history. To recap, the Venice Hilton was originally built by Giovanni Stucky as a flour mill in the 1880s.
The mill operated until the 1950s, although it had financial and labor problems for most of its existence.
For almost 40 years, the building remained vacant. In the 1990s, it has been converted into a hotel while preserving the beautiful building architecture. In 2007, it opened as Hilton Molino Stucky Venice.
How do I get to the Hilton?
To get to the Venice Hilton, you'll need to take one of the many Vaporetti that go there. I suggest you head for the Vaporetto number 2 and borrow it to the Palanca stop.
Inside the Hilton Venice
Entering the Hilton is a pleasant experience. On site, you'll find plenty of high-end furnishings and marble. You can check in at the desk on the right. To the left are the elevators.
In the lobby, you'll also find the bar and executive lounge. This is an absolutely magnificent space. The ceilings offer a view of the exposed beams. You can also feel the luxury from the moment you arrive at the Hilton Venice.
Choosing the right room
The Hilton Venice offers a wide range of rooms to suit your requirements. You can choose from a variety of options.
The King-Size Suite
The king-size bed suite offers elegant space for the whole family. Here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city's canals. The suite is divided into two roomsOne has a single bed. Of course, you'll find all the amenities you need for your stay, including a minibar, TV and desk.
There's also a table with four chairs and plenty of space for people to relax and socialize. There are two bathrooms in the suite, the main one in the bedroom has a bath, shower and toilet.
The simple suite
This room offers a little less luxury than the previous one. In fact, you'll find a single bed with a shower at your disposal. You'll also find a desk, TV and minibar to make the most of your vacation. Of course, following her and a little smaller than the king-size suite.
Single rooms
Last but not least, you'll find a host of single rooms to suit all price ranges. So you can stay at a hotel without breaking the bank. Of course, while the single rooms offer every comfort, you only get the basics. Bathroom with shower, TV and minibar are at your disposal.
Enjoy the bar at the Hilton Venice
The lobby features a bar and executive lounge. Here, you can enjoy a good beer or Prosecco in a calm, relaxed atmosphere. As always in Venice, drinks are served with snacks.
On warmer days, you can enjoy the rooftop bar. Here, you'll find plenty of high tables along the balustrade. Along the wall, sofas and low chairs.
The view is the best reason to visit the roof of the Hilton in Venice. That's right, at nightThe city lights are a magnificent sight.
How much does the Venice Hilton shuttle cost?
If you want to get around Venice, you can take the hotel's shuttle boat. It takes you to the place Saint-Marc for around 9 euros. The advantage is that you only pay for this service once!
The shuttle will take you to Venice and pick you up as many times as you like during your stay. On arrival, if you choose this option, the hotel will give you a departure time. You can then make your way to the hotel pier at the agreed time. to be transported to the downtown Venice.
With a shuttle bus, rooftop bar, magnificent rooms and incredible views, the Venice Hilton is perhaps the best choice for accommodation in the floating city. While the prices may seem a little high, you get service you probably wouldn't get at other city hotels. For me, the Hilton is one of the best places to spend a vacation in Venice.
