Doge's Palace
Another must-see in Venice is the Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale) was one of the landmarks of Venetian life for centuries. Like the Basilica and Campanile, it is located in Piazza San Marco.
It is still one of the world's most famous in VeniceYou'll be able to visit it to take in the sights.
Among the works of art by major artists such as Tintoretto and Veronese, the incredible Council Chamber, the terrible secret prisons or the famous Escalier d'Or, it's enough to leave you breathless!

Bridge of Sighs
Visit Bridge of Sighs and one of Venice's most famous monuments, for its structure, its main function and for the myth that surrounds it.
This bridge linked the Doge's Palace to prisons from which few convicts ever made it out alive. a last sigh looking out over Venice one last time, from the small skylight on the bridge.
But it is also wrongly associated, to the romantic image of Venice. That's why you'll see so many lovers snogging in front of it, taking photos of each other...!

- How to get there : on foot or by vaporetto (line 1 or 2), getting off at the Vallessero stop
- How to visit : Either take a guided tour of the Doge's Palace, which includes a visit to the Bridge of Sighs, or view it from the nearby Straw Bridge, for a souvenir photo. You can also choose to a gondola ride to get under it!
Rialto Bridge
Visit Rialto Bridge is a well-known Venetian monument all over the world. It is instantly recognizable, with its unusual shape - a single arch, 48 metres long and 22 metres wide - and it overlooks the Venice Grand Canal with the same aplomb, for 4 centuries!
You'll almost certainly pass through it during your stay in the Serenissima, and I recommend that you take the opportunity to visit the nearby Rialto market held every morning on the adjacent riverbanks. A great way to stock up on fresh produce!

- How to get there : on foot through Venice or by Vaporetto to the Rialto stop
- How to visit : free of charge, as it's right in the center of town. Try to get there early in the morning and/or in the evening to avoid the crowds and enjoy it in the best conditions.
La Fenice Opera House
The History of Fenice Theatre of Venice is a fascinating one, made up of premieres and performances of opera masterpieces, destructive fires and almost unhoped-for rebirth.
Immerse yourself in its atmosphere and this fascinating setting during a visit, with an audio guide to make sure you don't miss a single anecdote. And there are plenty of them!
La Fenice is one of Venice's most impressive monuments, and surely one of the most popular places to visit. the most astonishing of your stay.

The Academy Gallery
For enthusiasts, the Galleria dell'Accademia is a must-see monument, home to the world's largest collection of Venetian works of art from the 14th to the 18th century. The building is imposing, with its convent and Santa Maria della Carità church, and there are 37 rooms to visit.
A chance to discover paintings by Bellini and Carpaccio (both of whom inspired the cocktails and dishes of the same name for the owner of the Harry's Bar in Venice ), Tintoretto and Leonardo Da Vinci.

Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo
If you're looking for a unusual visit to do in Venice, then the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo will fill this role perfectly.
This particular monument stands out from the others for its unique architecture. It features a 26-metre-high spiral staircase designed by architect Giovanni Candi. You can climb it to access a very nice view on the Serenissima!
But the interior is not to be outdone, with the Tintoretto room in particular!

Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore
The basilica San Giorgio Maggiore can be found on the island of the same nameon the other side of the Venice lagoonjust opposite San Marco. It's one of Venice's most photographed monuments!

Ca'd'Oro Palace
The majestic Ca'd'Oro palace is one of the most beautiful monuments in the area. on the banks of Venice's Grand Canal.
Famous for its façade (previously covered in gold(hence the name of the Palace) and its architecture combining Gothic and Renaissance styles, it is a jewel of Venice to be discovered on a tour of the city. by boat in the city, or on a tour.
It is home to Giorgio Franchetti Gallerya rich collection of works of art from all over Italy.

- How to get there : Vaporetto lines 1 and N, Ca d'Oro stop
- How to visit : Adult tickets cost 10 euros. Discounts are available for 18/25 year-olds, senior citizens and minors. Open daily from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday (closes at 2pm on Mondays), and from 9am to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays.
Palazzo Ca' Rezzonico
Visit Ca'Rezzonico is one of the few Venetian palaces of this size that can be visited, making it a real must-see. a rare and much-appreciated monument in Venice. It is located in the Dorsoduro district, and dates from the late 17th century.
Today, it contains a large collection of art (painting, sculpture, accessories) as well as furniture and decorative elements. Enough to give you a precise idea of the life of wealthy venetians of past centuries.
A very interesting visit, which you can combine with that of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, just a few minutes' walk from Ca'Rezzonico.

- How to visit : Adult tickets cost 10 euros. Discounts are available for 18/25 year-olds, senior citizens and minors. Open daily from 10am to 5pm in winter, and from 10am to 6pm from April to October.
